Jeep Willys Army (1944) D-Day Normandy diecast model, classic car scale 1:18, produced by NOREV.
D-Day refers to 6 June 1944, the first day of the Battle of Normandy (Operation Overlord). This battle took place on several Normandy beaches in occupied France and pitted German Wehrmacht forces against Allied landing troops. In 2024, numerous celebrations are planned to commemorate the 80th anniversary of this major event of World War II.
Norev is proud to offer a miniature of an American vehicle that took part in this event.
The American flag applied to the windscreen has only 48 stars, whereas the current American flag has 50 stars: the 50th star was added on 4 July 1960 following the integration of the state of Hawaii.
This miniature features a machine gun, a pivoting windscreen and an opening bonnet to reveal the engine.
