Description

Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution, winner Paris-Dakar Rally (1997) Kenjiro Shinozuka, Henri Magne, diecast car model, scale 1:43, produced by Norev.

Several T2 prototypes from the Mitsubishi Motors team are entered in the 19th Dakar Rally in 1997. The race is a loop that starts in Dakar on January 4, passes through Agadez, then returns and finishes in Dakar on January 19. At the end of all the stages, the first 4 places are occupied by Mitsubishi.

This miniature represents the T2 prototype that won the race. In fact, it reproduces the car driven by Kenjiro Shinozuka and his co-driver Henri Magne. On this occasion, Shinozuka became the first Japanese driver to win the Dakar Rally. He was taking part for the 12th time.
