VW Beetle 1303 City (1973) classic car diecast model, scale 1:18, produced by NOREV.
When the VW 1303 was introduced in 1972, the successful car from Wolfsburg had already been in production for more than 30 years. From a technical point of view, it represented the pinnacle of the model series, as countless improvements were incorporated into its design.
The VW 1303 has its origins in an American law that was ultimately not applied. Among other things, this bill required a minimum distance between the windscreen and the driver's head, which in the case of the Beetle could only be achieved by a curved windscreen. VW built the vehicle anyway and marketed it in the USA as the "Super Beetle".
